Our Services

We specialise in all things family. From developing child friendly exhibitions to training your team up in how to welcome families to your venue. Our services include strategic planning, family friendly evaluation, resource development and design, interpretative planning and much more.

Formal and Informal Learning Resources

Director Sarah has a master’s degree in Heritage Education and Interpretation, along with a wealth of experience from her tenures as Education Manager for English Heritage and Learning Programmes Manager at the British Library.

We have recently produced formal learning programmes and resources for the Bradford Literature Festival, the Bright Foundation, Parc Howard Museum and the British Library. As a team we’re up to date with the changes to the curriculum across the four countries of the UK, and have our own teachers’ network to develop creative ideas with.

Interpretation Schemes

As a team, we’re here to create bespoke interpretation solutions for our clients. From traditional interpretation to playful family focus exhibitions and trails, we’ve got the creativity to bring your vision to life.

Recent projects include the award winning UNESCO Birdoswald Roman Fort, York Art Gallery, The Barn Theatre and Museum and Marble Hill House. For each project we work with our client to develop content, designs, visioning, installation and testing.

Training and Mentoring

We offer a bespoke mentoring service for teams looking to affect change within their organisation.

Our mentoring focuses on developing family friendly venues – from the exhibition spaces we use to the welcomes we receive. We’ve worked with Kids in Museums to train over 200 museums on creating family friendly welcomes, as well as partnering with Museum Development teams across the UK to support museums as they develop their family friendly practices.

Evaluation

Ensuring that your project meets it’s aims and objectives is an essential part of the learning process. We work with our clients to ensure that evaluation is at the heart of the project management process, generating meaningful and impactful data for your team.

Our recent clients have included the Heritage Alliance through a yearlong study of their NLHF Digital Questions programme and a two year partnership with Leeds Museums and Galleries evaluating the impact of their Primary School Membership loans programme.

Project Management

Ranging from the development of new galleries to the creation of a new learning programme - we’re help you to achieve your goals.

Recent projects include the Heritage Alliance and Heritage Digital Consortium’s Digital Questions NLHF project. For over a year we worked with four partners, over a hundred heritage organisations across all four countries in the UK and multiple content creators to develop a brand new website. The website answers the top digital content questions posed by the sector, ranging from finding free content, to sharing collection items online within copyright law.

Conference Programming

For venues looking to share their knowledge across the sector, we offer exceptional conference programming packages.

In the last two years we’ve created the National Portrait Gallery’s Engaging Young People With Portraiture conference, and programmed youth conferences for the London Transport Museum.

From arranging the practicalities of the day to sourcing great speakers and break-out practitioners, we’ll deliver a packed programme to entice your audience. Our conferences have included partnering with curriculum leads such as NATE and ACT and have drawn speakers such as activist Shami Chakrabarti, MPs and internationally renowned authors.
